Bob Kronemyer
Bob Kronemyer has been a full-time freelance journalist since moving to Elkhart County, Indiana, from Southern California in 1991. Kronemyer is an accomplished screenwriter, filmmaker and an award-winning playwright.  His articles have been published in Indiana Business Magazine, Career World, Business News, Orthopedics Today, The Chicago Tribune and South Bend Tribune, among others. His journalistic expertise includes health care and business.

Kathy M. McKimmie is an unabashed supporter of Indiana’s business community and enjoys writing about all that is new and exciting in the state’s economy–from economic development to university research to small business start-ups. Each area of the state has a unique story to tell and she likes to help tell it. A full-time writer, editor and communications consultant since 1999, she previously served in government affairs and in marketing and communications capacities for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, where she launched BizVoice magazine. In recent years, her work has expanded to art and antiques, and her first book, Clay Times Three, about three Brown County potteries, was published December 2009.

Shari Held, an Indianapolis-based freelance writer, graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English Education and completed coursework toward her Masters Degree in Journalism at Indiana University. She has more than 20 years writing experience in the corporate and not-for-profit arenas, and taught business communications as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University, Purdue University-Indianapolis. For the last nine years she has devoted her time, skills and energy to her freelance career. She has edited several Web technology books and most recently, a financial “how-to” book. Her articles have been published in prominent local, state and regional magazines and newspapers including Indiana Business Magazine and NWIBQ, where she is a regular contributor. While her articles cover everything from construction to education, she specializes in health-related articles and home decor.

Michael Puente, a professional journalist with 18 years experience, works full-time for WBEZ 91.5 FM Chicago Public Radio. He covers politics, environment and features in Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan and Chicago’s South Side. For 11 years, Michael wrote for the Post-Tribune of Northwest Indiana. Michael also spent two years writing for the Daily Herald of Arlington Heights, Ill., covering Chicago’s Northwest suburbs. Michael is a contributing writer for Cafe Latino Lifestyles Magazine in Chicago and an adjunct faculty instructor at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Hammond. Since joining the staff of Chicago Public Radio, Michael has received numerous awards including 2008′s “Best Reporter” by the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association. Michael has a B.A. in Journalism from Calumet College of St. Joseph in Hammond. Michael resides in Merrillville, Indiana, with his wife, Grace, and daughters Stephanie and Jessica. He is also a big White Sox, Bears and Bulls fan.

Alison Skertic grew up in the northern Chicago suburbs, but has spent most of her life as a journalist and teacher in Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University – where she was sports editor of the Indiana Daily Student – Alison worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Cincinnati, Fort Wayne and Munster. Several years ago she returned to school to earn a teaching degree and is now a high school English teacher. When not teaching or working as a freelance writer, Alison is usually at one of her daughters’ soccer games or driving in the soccer carpool.
