Whiting hosts Midwest Collegiate League team
WHITING – Oil City Stadium will be the home of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen Baseball Club that will begin play in June.

State pocket billiards event at Star Plaza
MERRILLVILLE – The 15th annual Indiana State Pocket Billiards championship is taking place through Sunday, March 4 at the Radisson Star Plaza.

Porter-Starke hosts annual Turkey Trot
VALPARAISO – Porter-Starke Services Foundation will hold its eighth annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning.
Some 1,800 runners are expected for the 5K and 10K races. Registration is 7 a.m. and the run begins at 8 a.m.
The event begins at Valparaiso High School Fieldhouse at 2727 N. Campbell St. Proceeds will benefit Porter-Starke Services Foundation to support mental health and addiction treatment services.
